•About Licensing

Licensing images from Elaine Biss-Fashionable Stationery means you are granted permission to use an agreed upon image for a specific business venture or personal use. Each license is unique to meet the requirements of the licensee.

•About Web Licensing
This type of license defines the terms for an image to be used and displayed on the web. The image is usually delivered in a GIF format, with a transparent background. The image will also have a digital signature, invisible on the graphic. The digital signature ensures that the image can be tracked in case of theft. Removal of this signature by the licensee voids and terminates this contract, and all rights are returned to the designer.
If a third party, like a web developer will need to handle the image, they will also need to uphold the licensing terms and agree in writing. If they choose not to agree, then the licensee wll be held liable for any mishandling on the part of the third party.

•About Print Licensing
This type of license defines an image, either in color or black and white for print. This image is usually delivered in a PDF or AI file. Editing this image in anyway is not allowed, with the exception of adding text. The image or artwork must remain as is.

•About Brand Licensing
This one covers web and print and the same terms apply. Though a larger fee applies, you have more freedom over the image, as you can brand yourself with the image just as you would a custom logo.

•About Image Royalties
This particular license permits you to make money from the image, such as when creating products like t-shirts, housewares, books and any goods that generate sales. For this, a flat fee applies as well as a percentage of all sales. This does not allow you to brand yourself, display on the web or print the images, unless the images are on the intended product in which it will be produced.

•Art Licensing for Businesses
Inquires are always welcome for any image in Elaine`s Collection. A sample booklet is available, as well as, sample model products, if desired. Elaine is available to work with your team to create any other graphics, such as patterns, icons and characters. All made to coordinate any existing project. All work is delivered in any compatible digital format.

Special artwork can be custom-created for your book, magazine, packaging, magazine editorials or any other projects. A sample booklet is available, as well as sample model products if desired.
