I love to cook. With 5 kids, I have to cook like I am feeding a small battalion. A few months ago, it occurred to me it would be a good idea to learn how to make a cake from scratch. I have a pretty large collection of old magazines and I was sure I had a recipe there for cake.Master Cake Chart
I was right. Not only did I find a master booklet on how to make cake, but I found a master recipe for biscuits and a master muffin chart. I also found a cake recipe from the second World War in which, apparently due to rationing, less sugar was needed but it was “still sweet”. That may be a low carb recipe!
