In order to finish quickly, I didn`t iron seams or followed traditional sewing methods, because I wanted to show how easy it is to just put it together. All images are clickable.
Enjoy!
P. S. I want to thank my very sexy model, my hubby. For his troubles, sighs, words under his breath and eye rolling while being photographed near/holding a “piece of girly stuff”. He was awarded one of my highest honors, a pot roast and a nap.
Step1
You will need 6 dish rags, scissors, a sewing machine and matching thread. Presuming you know how to work a sewing machine, get it ready and let`s sew.
Step 2
Grab one of the dish towels and fold it in half as shown. Meet the ends evenly and sew the ends I chose for the graphic pre-printed on the towels to show as part of my apron top. This part should start about 4 inches under your collar bone and end about an inch and a half under your waistline. If it`s too long, cut it and adjust it.

Step 3
Sew your skirt. The dish towels were very long but I liked the length. 3 dish rags is what I used but 2 should be fine, I like my aprons big and long. I aligned the graphics at the bottom of the skirt and sewed them together on the sides.
Step 4
Gather the apron skirt. This is tricky because the skirt is, depending on how many towels used for the skirt, about 3 times as wide as your apron top, so I gathered the edges, and folded them a bit to fit the top of the apron, pinned them with pins and sewed it WITHOUT the apron top first. Make sure your skirt is about one inch wider than the apron top to have a place to attach the ties of the apron.
Set your machine to a wide stitch, like a 7 when sewing your skirt.
Step 5
Join the apron top to the skirt. Attach your skirt to the end shown there, with the graphics facing each other so the seam faces you when you put on the apron.
Match the edges leaving about half inch of the skirt free, as that is where the apron ties will be attached.
After you are done, it should look like this. (Hubby models unhappily. Pot roast is cooking. Tempers apeaced.)
Step 6
Making the ties. You will need 4 ties and I used 2 dish towels for this. I could have used just one, since this dish towels are very big, but I wanted them chunky enough that I wouldn`t struggle when I would turn them inside out.
Fold the towel lengthwise.
Turn it around, so the seams is inside.
Step 7
Attaching the ties to the apron. Keep in mind you may or may not have to adjust the length of the apron ties to your body.
(Hot husband models apron again, reluctantly, while rolling eyes and sighing loudly. Rewarded with big heavy meal.)
