I was feeling inspired to do a little decorating in my office. However I am the kind of the designer that believes the small touches are what makes the scene.  So while traveling the internet I bumped into the Graphics Fairy, who kindly  made a fantastic  tutorial on how to make a cake pedestal.

I had to do it. Hers had a beautiful ballerina. I really like mine simple, no extra embellishments other than the glitter. And after cutting the Papier–mâché box to do the cake stand it needed a bit of something to hide the frayed edges.

Glitter was the magic potion!

Even the picture frames got painted. I wish I would have had pink, but aqua was all I had!
