I recently had the privilege to read a fantastic book called Fashion Illustration Exposed by Julia Stanescu.
This book is not so much an expose, as it is a step by step guide to illustration couture. Julia highlights the career of several fashion designers and illustrators and their techniques. When reading this book, you may want to approach it as a recipe book for drawing. Where you are being shown what materials you will need in order to create a magazine worthy illustration.
What I personally found amazing was that they don`t just show you how to draw on paper, but they take their skills further by showing you how to manipulate images and art in Adobe Photoshop. The book is available in a digital format and paperback.
