This year has been tough. Emotionally in ways I cannot explain to you. This past Friday we all had to face the ugly reality, that someone had taken 26 lives in an act that defies all logic. Parents lost their daughters and sons. Teachers. Spouses. Friends. My heart goes out to the Newton Community. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I can`t comprehend it.
My daughter walked in on Friday and I promised to watch movies and cuddle up in bed. I held her and was thankful she was safe at home. This year, between personal and family problems as well as dealing with school, I think it`s time to recharge. Tomorrow is my last day of school. Friday is my daughter`s last day. We have planned many activities as well as fun movie watching.
The piece above I made during my 30 watercolors in 30 days. It was based on a memory I had of my mother and I. She used to always dress very sharp. She would make her outfits as well as mine. She made me this dress. It`s the dress I remember the most as mother insisted on dressing me in red.
As we take a few days off to spend it with family and friends cherish every moment. Hold them close. Make lots of memories and offer support to those who need it. xoxo, Elaine
