Sometimes it`s really hard to find time to recharge. This week was like that for me and it was very hard to find time to just to be creative. Here are 5 things I did to get my creative juices flowing.

  1. Take a walk in the sunshine-On the advice of a friend, I went for a walk, without sunglasses in the afternoon sun. Turns out your skin makes Vitamin D when exposed to the sun, thus making you feel happier. (Thanks Marla! Source.)
  2. Try a new music genre-I have a very set style of music I like to listen to. Someone recently recommended I listen to country music. Of course I resisted, then I found myself really liking it. Now it`s one of my guilty pleasures, along with Snickers bars, macarons and Margaritas. Here is my Pandora Guilty Pleasure Station link.
  3. Stop gathering-For this, I blame Pinterest. All those pretty pictures… I must have have them ALL!! I am starting to think Pinterest addictions may be real. Pinterest confines you to your computer, that in itself is counter productive to creativity. So instead…
  4. Gather outside-For this, Instagram rocks the pants off Pinterest. You can take a walk and photograph what inspires you! Here is the link to mine-Link.
  5. Be nice to yourself-When one is time poor, you are the first one to go without. I am not saying go to a day spa or get a massage, but go for a run, get a hair cut or get your nails done. I got a haircut and had my hair extra conditioned. It feels so nice to run my finger to my soft hair rather than say ‘gosh my hair feels awful!!’

Hope this little list helps get you recharged!
