After almost nine months, the thought of replacing my glass top desk became part of my to do list. Besides being able to see the slew of cables under my desk, it made it incredibly hard to take pictures. The glass was always cold and anything would smudge it. It was a hassle.

So I had really been thinking of having the desktop made of natural materials. Wood was my final choice, but there was a catch. Since I recently acquired some power tools, I wanted to make the desktop. Though, my first choice for my desk`s wood was reclaimed wood, I had a hard time finding some. So I went to the local lumber store and got some pre-cut Pine and Poplar to join the pieces.
I had some wood left over and took an old crate and filled the empty spaces and stained it. After I stained both surfaces, I allowed the to dry. The next day I tried my hand at photographing on them.

And of course this was lots of fun!

All my pictures and videos will proudly display the wood top. It catches the light perfectly.
Enjoy!!
XOXO
