I love discovering new uses for art mediums. Having taken an array of different classes that demand certain paper or paints, it’s nice to discover new uses for unlikely materials.
One of my favorite things to do is use brushes for calligraphy and discovering old pen nibs that are wonderful for sketching.

Yes, that pen nib resembles an Eiffel Tower. And it writes heavenly! I purchased the pen nibs shown here at Kallipos.de. Eventhough the web store is in Europe, it took less than a week for it to arrive.
Black paper and gold are my favorites! These are Finetec inks.
So, if you ever ask yourself if the best things in life are couture, you can say “some of them are vintage.”

Have fun in NYC, and then we need to connect because I would LOVE to give you another venue to sell & teach if you’re interested!! I’m already a rabid fan, and all I’ve done is scroll through your site. LOVE the pen nib uses. Dying over it here in MT.
