I wanted to highlight that I used shellac inks for this illustration for several reasons. Shellac inks offer water resistance once dried, which makes them extremely forgiving. There are opaque so you can layer them and create depth on the piece, in relation to draping. Lastly, shellac inks have a watercolor quality, as you can add water to them to make the layers more transparent. Shellac inks are ideal for calligraphy and lettering.
